On Loki Odinson and Nuada Silverlance…
Here’s a long post about why Prince Nuada (Hellboy 2) and Loki (Thor/Avengers) are different and yet quite similar:
I’m gonna quietly sit here in a corner and asdfghjkl.
But I must say that one very fundamental difference is that Nuada’s intentions were noble. He cared for the natural world and it broke his heart to see mankind destroying it’s beauty. And he does have a point, we ruin everything in our paths.
But Loki just wants a reign of chaos. I understand where he’s coming from, of course. He’s a wounded child, lost and damaged, (and im my mind, always redeemable). I am always a Loki fangirl as well, but Nuada does have a firm and completely justifiable ‘cause’ that he’s fighting for.
Loki does what he wants.

4) One has daddy issues galore, the other… damn.
5) One has trouble with a sibling that decides to ally themselves with the Good Guys, the other… uh-oh.
6) One is a prince who believes he is entitled to rule over the whole world, the other… huh.
7) One is blond, the other is dark-haired.
